Abbie Heady is a massage therapist at Massage Timeout! She provides on-site massage at Massage Timeout!, and out-call massage throughout Central Florida.

Abbie specializes in Sports, Deep Tissue, and Medical Massage.

Abbie is very experienced at working with athletes. She has performed massages for the University of Central Florida track and football teams, and many types of professional athletes— including professional Motocross riders, waterskiers, runners, football players, golfers, and Olympic athletes— as well as numerous athletes preparing for Triathlons.

She is also experienced in prenatal massage, children's massage, medical massage— including lymphatic drainage and TMJ work— and massage for senior citizens with various medical conditions.

Originally intending to be a nurse, Abbie went to school and became an Advanced Clinical Technician in the orthopedic unit at the Orlando Regional Medical Center. She worked in medicine for a year before deciding to explore other career options. She always enjoyed massage and believed it essential to living a healthy life. She realized she could become a Massage Therapist and continue to work in a medical setting, while giving herself the flexibility she wanted to start a family.

Abbie graduated from the Florida College of Natural Health with a concentration in natural health in Massage Therapy in 2006, maintaining a Dean's List average while working full-time. She remained actively involved in extra-curricular activities, volunteering to give massages at all kinds of sporting events to gain more knowledge and experience.

She began her Massage Therapy career at a chiropractor's office in East Orlando, where she worked with UCF athletes— and at the Orlando Sports Medicine Group, where she has worked alongside Physical Therapists on athletes, pro-athletes, and patients with a wide variety of medical conditions.

Abbie is a member of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association (FSMTA).
